Sonora, CA — CHP Sgt. Steve Lampl reports late Monday afternoon that six year old Dezsia Hancock of Sonora will be released momentarily from the U.C. Davis Medical Center.

Hancock was the most seriously injured of the four that were hurt when 30 year old Amber Rae Powell of Sonora ran a red light at the Hwy 108-S. Washington St. intersection Saturday afternoon and collided with a vehicle driven by 59 year old John R. Steely of Soulsbyville.

Hancock was lifeflighted to U.C. Davis Medical Center but Monday afternoon hospital personnel told Lampl that the youngster only suffered facial and head lacerations and was being released momentarily.

Powell was arrested and charged with felony DUI and felony child endangerment.
