Sonora Robbery Suspect Arrested In Jamestown

Sonora, CA — A late Tuesday evening breakin robbery in Sonora has resulted in the arrest of 23 year old Justin Cole Mendenhall of Jamestown.

Mendenhall and two other males (one a Hispanic in his twenties and the other heavy set, approximately six feet tall in his twenties wearing a navy zip up sweatshirt) broke into a Sonora area residence with rifles and bandannas covering their faces.

A female occupant was held at gunpoint while the perpetrators took an undisclosed amount of cash and a Playstation.

Mendenhall was one of the two individuals who removed his bandanna. He was identified to Deputy Brandon Lowery. The other two perpetrators remain at large at this hour.

At approximately five o’clock this morning Mendenhall was arrested near his Jamestown residence. He was booked into the County Jail on a charge of robbery and being in possession of a glass smoking pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
