S.W.A.T. Team Serves Warrant In Search Of Weapons

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an Allison Way residence in Sonora at nine o’clock this morning in search of weapons and ammunition.
50-year-old Anthony Gabriel Fernandez had been pulled over by the CHP earlier in the month, and officers found that he was in possession of an AR-15 rifle and a .45 caliber pistol. This prompted the Sheriff’s Office to execute the warrant at his residence. Due to the types of weapons already located, the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons And Tactics) team was called in for assistance. Fernandez and another suspect were detained without incident. Fixed ammuntion was found at the residence.
