Sonora, CA – Work on the Sullivan Creek Bridge on Phoenix Lake Road hit a snag Tuesday afternoon.
“Our contractor who has been installing the guardrail hit some unexpected rock rather significantly, and they are running way behind schedule,” says Bill McKenzie with the Public Works Department. “We’ll open it up this evening around five and leave it open until around eight o’clock tomorrow morning. At that time we will close it down again.”
The bridge will also be temporarily closed down Thursday and Friday for striping of the roadway.
