Phoenix Lake Rd. Bridge CLOSED Until This Afternoon
Sonora, CA — The $2.1 million Phoenix Lake Rd. Bridge will remain closed until approximately three o’clock this afternoon.
According to Tuolumne County Senior Civil Engineer Bill McKenzie crews are on site removing construction material from the site. In addition they are installing the guard rails.
McKenzie adds the bridge will reopen this afternoon and remain open to traffic overnight. The bridge will then close tomorrow morning in the hopes the guardrail construction can be completed so the bridge can be reopened on a permanent basis.
McKenzie’s final comment, “Our plans are all contingent on the weather.”
