Bear Valley, CA — Bear Valley will officially open the 2009-10 Sierra Nevada ski season tomorrow.
Marketing Manger Rosie Sundell comments that the operation will be open Saturday and Sunday and then close until December 18 when it will go into full time operation (7 days a week) for the season.
Sundell adds that five lifts will be in operation with 25-30 runs available. 100 percent of the front side will be open for the skiers. The snowfall from this week’s storm totaled approximately 30 inches.
According to Sundell, “Bear Valley is really nice because we have the village with restaurants and shops … even a general store and a post office. In the resort we have three restaurants with a bar that serves food. We also have a bus that runs from the Village to the ski resort.”
