Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — Minor injuries were suffered by four Oakland residents as a result of a single vehicle accident Friday afternoon at 3:15.

48 year old William Gavoe was behind the wheel of a 1997 Ford on Hwy 4 east of Blacksprings Rd. when due to snow on the pavement he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left to right turn.

According to the C.H.P. report his unsafe speed caused a fishtail effect and the vehicle turned to the right and overturned down a steep embankment.

All four occupants were wearing their seat belts. As a result Gavce, 50 year old Francisca Gavce, 14 year old Kyle Gavce and 67 year old Robert Epstein, all of Oakland, suffered only minor injuries. Epstein sought his own aid while the other three were treated at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital.
