Prisoners Captured After Escaping From Fire Camp
Jamestown, CA — Two prisoners who escaped from the Sierra Conservation Center’s Mount Bullion Conservation Camp in Mariposa have been apprehended.
Gerald L. Turner and Richard A. Green escaped together from the fire camp during the evening hours of November 3rd. Agents from the Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Turner two days later in Fresno, and he has now been transported to the Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown.
Meanwhile, Green was located on Wednesday in Inglewood down in southern California. He is currently being housed at a state prison in Chino and will soon be transferred to Jamestown.
A main mission of S.C.C. is to provide housing, services and programs for minimum and medium custody inmates, and the Mount Bullion Conservation Camp is under its jurisdiction.
