Supervisors Approve Pine Mountain Lake Airport Hanger
Sonora, CA — By a 5-0 vote this morning the Tuolumne County supervisors approved a 40 year lease agreement with Gold Country Hangers to build a 14,925 square foot facility at the Pine Mountain Lake Airport in the south county.
County Airport Director Jim Thomas stated that hangers are so overdue at both Pine Mountain Lake Airport and Columbia.
Gold Country Hangers will spend $496,000 to build the facility and be responsible for all utilities and selling leases to private plane owners.
The facility will consist of 10 "T" hangers on a single row with a large box hanger on the end of it. The lease rate has been set at four point six cents per square foot realizing the county an income of $8,238.60 for each of the first five years. That amount will increase by three percent for each of the remaining 35 years of the contact.
At the end of the 40 year lease the county will take over ownership of the facility.
