Sheriff’s Deputies Investigating Home Invasion Robbery

Sonora, CA — Sheriff’s deputies are continuing their investigation of an early Sunday morning home invasion in the 27000 block of Ponderosa Way in Tuolumne.

According to Sgt. A.J. Ford two armed men approached the residence at approximately 3:20am. They were both dressed in dark clothing. 

When confronted by one of the residents, one of the suspects assaulted the resident causing a moderate injury. The other suspect entered the residence and forced the other residents to lie face down on the living room carpet.  

He ransacked the residents looking for specific items. The suspects then fled the scene. Stolen items have not yet been identified. 

One suspect was described as Afro-American standing six feet in height and weighing approximately 230 pounds. The other suspect was described as Caucasian standing six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
