Silva “Very Pleased” With A.P.I. Scores

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County School Superintendent Joe Silva says he is “very pleased” with the results of the Academic Performance Index which registers the success of grade, middle and high schools each year.

The state scale of success runs from a low of 200 to a high of 1,000. 800 is considered excellent.

All but one of the elementary schools in Tuolumne County surpassed the 800 mark. Sullivan Creek, which merged with Curtis Creek effective this year, registered an 847 score.

Silva readily admitted that neither one of the high schools, Sonora or Summerville, reached the 800 plateau but he added that they are both improving.
