Groveland Marijuana Bust Results In Two Arrests
Groveland, CA — Two residents from Mexico have been arrested for growing marijuana in Groveland.
The Tuolumne Narcotics Team, with assistance from C.A.M.P. (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting) and BLM officers, eradicated 799 plants from the 9700 block of Jackass Creek Rd.
T.N.T. Sgt. Craig Davis says a search warrant was issued at a nearby residence and two men were taken into custody in connection. They are identified as 29-year-old Fidencio Castro-Meza and 36-year-old Jose Guadalupe Castro-Meza.
Sgt. Davis says a firearm was seized from the residence and items located on the property were consistent with items located at the cultivation site.
Law enforcement learned about the grow site thanks to an anonymous tip.
