Yosemite, CA — Yosemite officials say the historic Ahwahnee Hotel will reopen Friday afternoon at four o’clock.
The building was evacuated Wednesday when several rocks fell and caused damage to three vehicles in the parking lot. The largest rock was around 350 cubic meters in size. The opening date was announced following a geological assessment and is contingent on no further rock falls.
There was no structural damage to the Ahwahnee Hotel, and no one was injured.
Visitors with reservations at the Ahwahnee tonight should call DNC Parks and Resorts at 801-559-5000.
