Foresta Big Meadow Fire Burns 1,170 Acres
Yosemite National Park, CA — The Foresta Big Meadow Fire has now burned 1,170 acres.
According to Fire Information Officer Gary Wuchner the stairs and deck of one Foresta residence were damaged by the fire but no structures have been destroyed and no injuries have been suffered by either firefighters or residents.
Foresta (approximately 50 homes) has been evacuated along with the Crane Flat Campground. Hwy 120 from Crane Flat to Yosemite Valley remains closed.
The fire remains at a 10 percent containment rate.
