Angels Camp, CA — This morning at ten o’clock Angels Camp will be hosting the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the two and a half mile Hwy 4 Bypass.
Tuesday afternoon and early evening, residents were given the opportunity to walk, run, ride their bikes or skateboards for the first mile and a half of the Bypass. A number of vendors had their booths on site and there was a flyover at six o’clock.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony the Bypass will be open to the motoring public.
Teichert Construction of Stockton is responsible for finishing the project 18 months ahead of schedule and $5-6 million below budget.
