Slight Injuries Suffered In Noon Time Accident
Sonora, CA — Only slight injuries were reported following an 11:49am two vehicle accident on Mono Way at Sanguinetti that closed the latter for a full hour today.
According to the Police Accident Report 46 year old Gregory Popovich of Sonora was eastbound in his GMC pickup on Mono Way when 70 year old Joyce Pedroni of Sonora made a left turn from westbound Mono Way towards Sanguinetti Rd. in her Ford Focus directly in front of Popovich.
Popovich attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to do so. The force of the impact pushed Pedroni’s vehicle into a power pole located at the eastside of the intersection.
Pedroni’s 52 year old female passenger was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for complaint of pain to her neck and right leg.
