Teen Arrested On Cocaine Charge
Sonora, CA — A 15 year old was arrested by police Saturday at 2am on numerous drug charges.
Officers contacted a group of juveniles at the Sonora Express Mart in regards to a possible curfew violation. During the contact it was determined that the youth had two grams of cocaine in his possession. He told officers he bought the cocaine from a transient for partying that night.
The juvenile was taken into custody and turned over to the Probation Department for the violations of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony transportation of a controlled substance and misdemeanor curfew violation.
Chief Mark Stinson commented, "We usually find methamphetamine during such a contact. Cocaine is pretty rare."
