Vegetation Fire In Standard Contained At Five Acres

Standard, CA — A vegetation fire in Standard is now contained at five acres, and Standard Rd. is back open to vehicle traffic.
Incident Commander Barry Rudolph says the fire was on Sierra Pacific Industries property, just east of the mill site. It was burning in both grass and oak woodland. Standard Rd. was closed down for a couple of hours between Hwy 108 and Tuolumne Rd.
No buildings were damaged. The first call came in at around 1:10pm. Agencies cooperating with CAL Fire included the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, CHP, Sonora City Fire, Mono Vista, Cedar Ridge, and the US Forest Service.
