Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will hold a public hearing Tuesday related to changes proposed for transit services.
General ride fares would increase 50 cents to $1.50, Day Passes would go up by a $1.50 to $4.00, and monthly passes would increase by $14.00 to $36.00. In addition, senior discounts would only be available to individuals 60 years and above. Currently you have to be 55. Services would also stop running after 7pm.
Transit rates have not increased since 1997, and officials say that fuel and other operating costs have gone up by 42 percent.
The hearing will begin at 10:30am in the Supervisors chambers.
