Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspected child abuse case.
According to Sgt. A.J. Ford a children’s hospital in Madera had received a two month old infant from Sonora Regional Medical Cneter diagnosed with both new and old multiple fractures and a brain hemorrage.
It was determined that the infant has a twin in Sonora. Sheriff’s deputies immediately contacted the family and while no arrest(s) has been made the second infant has been removed from the home by Child Protective Services.
Identities of the family members have yet to be released.
Ford adds that the investigating is continuing.
