Rock Creek Landfill Vegetation Fire Spread Halted

San Andreas, CA — According to CAL Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams from the Emergency Command Center the spread of the 410 acre Rock Creek Landfill vegetation fire at 12000 Block Hunt Rd. in the Milton area has been halted.

Resources responding included 15 engines, two water tenders, one air attack, two helicopters, four air tankers and two fire crews.

Agencies involved: CAL Fire, Amador-El Dorado, Jenny Lind, West Point, Foothill Fire, Altaville, Arnold, Esperanza, Murphys, Standard, San Andreas, Copperopolis, Green Springs, Vallecito, Hollister and the U.S. Forest Service.

No injuries have been reported and no structures were threatened.

The fire was initially reported at 3:08pm. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
