Bret Harte To Graduate A Smaller Than Normal Class
Altaville, CA — Bret Harte High School will graduate approximately 150 seniors Friday evening during a football field ceremony.
According to third year Principal Dean Way the smaller than normal size is due to the continued declining enrollment in Calaveras County.
Overall Way says, “This has been one of the most enjoyable groups I’ve been around. It’s a fun group … pleasant to be around … just a great group of kids.”
Way adds, “Because of a smaller class I’ve had a lot of time to visit with the students at lunch. Great attitude … they’re fun … they’re involved.”
And finally Way admitted the 2009 senior prank really stood out. “They camped out with their parents on the quad. It was kinda cuts.”
