Supervisors Endorse Economic Development Authority Budget

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors has voted 5-0 to endorse the newly formed Economic Development Authority’s fiscal year 2009/10 budget.
The budget has $225,000 in total expenses and $171,000 will go towards paying staff. Much of the remaining funds will go towards rent/lease payments.
The EDA office is located at the former Tuolumne County Law Library. CAO Craig Pedro said the back half of the building will be used as an incubator space to help birth new businesses in the County.
Official approval of the budget will be made by the EDA Board. It was brought before the Tuolumne County Supervisors as a courtesy.
