Update: Fire Reported In Lime Kiln Road Area
Update at 8:10am: CAL Fire reports that a vegetation fire in the area of Lime Kiln Road and Murphy Road has been contained at 2-3 acres. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. No structures were damaged. Mop-up continues at the site.
Update at 7:40am: Responding to a report of a vegetation fire in the area of Lime Kiln Road and Murphy Road, firefighters have found a 100 x 100 ft. fire. Two engines are currently on scene and officials report that it is moving at a slow rate of spread. Power lines in the area have been de-energized.
Original story posted at 7:20am: Sonora, CA — Firefighters are responding to investigate smoke that is visible in the area of Lime Kiln Road near Murphy Road in Tuolumne County.
It is being referred to as the “Lime Fire.” There is also a report of powerlines possibly being down in the area. Be prepared for activity. We’ll pass along more information as it becomes available.
