Skavdahl Leaving Curtis Creek School District

Sonora, CA — Curtis Creek Elementary School District Superintendent Britta Skavdahl will be leaving her position to accept a superintendent’s position in Grass Valley effective July 1, 2009.

According to Item 4 in this evening’s Pleasant Ridge Union School District Board of Trustees Special Meeting agenda, “The Governing Board will consider the appointment of Britta Skavdahl as District Superintendent effective July 1, 2009. Ms. Skavdahl is currently serving as superintendent of Curtis Creek Elementary School District in Tuolumne County.”

Skavdahl was instrumental in proposing the closure of Sullivan Creek Elementary School due to its declining enrollment. That was approved by a 4-1 vote Monday evening in the Curtis Creek Elementary Gymnasium.
