Jamestown Infant Survives Three Story Fall

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — A two-year-old child survived after falling from the third story of an apartment building in Jamestown late last week.

The mother of the boy, Shyra Elliot, told Sheriff’s deputies that her son was on the bed and rolled through a screen window.

The baby dropped approximately 10-12 ft., and then hit an awning which helped to break the fall.

“Witnesses stated that the child got up and was walking after the fall,” says Sgt. Jim Oliver with the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. “The baby was taken to UC Davis for some injuries and later released.”

The incident occurred Thursday at the Jamestown Terrace Apartments.
