Final Hwy 108 Victim Identified

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — C.H.P. Officer Tom Wills has identified 63 year old Sheri Pratt of Sonora as the second person to die as a result of the Monday afternoon accident on Hwy 108 between Via Este and Draper Mine Rd.

Pratt was driving a 1993 Ford Bronco erratically when her eastbound vehicle crossed the center line causing a headon collision with a 2001 Subaru Outback driven by the other deceased victim, 59 year old Ron Lancaster of Soulsbyville.

Blood has been drawn from Pratt for a toxicology examination, but initially the C.H.P. report is indicating that alcohol was not a contributing factor.

Tuolumne County has now suffered six traffic related fatalities in 2009 two more than in all of 2008.
