Hwy 108 Reopened

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Hwy 108 reopened at 4:45pm following a three vehicle collision at 2:58pm that took the life of a 59 year old Soulsbyville man and critically injured a 64 year old Sonora woman.

The C.H.P. has confirmed that the latter, in a mid ’80’s Ford Bronco, caused the accident when she crossed the center line and collided headon with the westbound Subaru driven by the deceased between Draper Mine Rd. and Via Este.

The Bronco then hit a Toyota Highlander that was trailing the Subaru. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.

The Bronco driver was lifeflighted to a Modesto hospital where she is reported to be in critical condition.
