Calaveras High Student Arrested For Pocket Knife Stabbing

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — A Calaveras High student was placed under arrest and taken to Juvenile Hall Wednesday after stabbing another student with a pocket knife.

“They’re both freshman and have been in school together for the past three years,” says Detective Rick Dibasilio with the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department. “It appears they just had a little dispute, and it doesn’t appear to be gang related or anything.”

The fight occurred in the boy’s locker room. The two were yelling at each other, and one placed the other in a headlock. The student in the headlock pulled out the pocket knife and poked it into the other student’s upper thigh area. Dibasilio says the blade went in approximately ¼ of an inch. The injured student was taken to the hospital to receive stitches and returned later in the day.

The names of the students involved are not being released by law enforcement because they are minors.
