Calaveras Winegrape Alliance Assists Local Wineries
The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance continues in its effort to assist thirty-one winegrape growers and twenty-one Calaveras wineries by acting as the marketing tool to help get the word out, both locally and regionally.
Anna Davies, Executive Director of the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance, was KVML’s Wednesday Newsmaker of the Day.
According to Davies, the Calaveras Wine Industry is alive and flourishing. The quality of Calaveras Wines and Winegrapes are being recognized and and have received high awards at Regional, National and International competitions.
"What we provide for our members is highly concentrated Promotions and Marketing as well as media exposure, public education and government representation for this highly regulated industry." Davies said.
A perfect example of a promotional public event is coming up on Saturday March 7th from 1 – 5pm.
It is the 2nd Annual "Calaveras Winegrape & Gourmet” to be held at the Calaveras Fairgrounds (Frogtown) in Angels Camp.
Activities will include the tasting of select pairings of food and wine with several local chefs and restaurants participating, educational seminars, over forty-five wines from local vineyards, music and art.
