Sonora, CA — An unidentified victim remains hospitalized at Sonora Regional Medical Center after being stabbed with a knife several times at approximately one o’clock this morning.
The male victim and a friend were driving southbound on S. Washington St. when their vehicle was hit by a thrown beer can.
The victim confronted the individual who threw the can from a rooftop and subsequently suffered the knife wounds. Arrested at the scene and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail was 18 year old Robert Scott Harper of Sonora who admitted throwing the beer can, pulling a knife and stabbing the victim.
Harper has been charged with attempted homicide and throwing an object at a vehicle.
