Bay Area Resident Killed In Twain Harte Grade Accident

Sponsored by:

Twain Harte, CA — An unidentified Bay Area male driver was killed this morning when his Ford F-150 vehicle apparently hit ice in the eastbound lanes.

The vehicle crossed over the inside lane proceeded down and across the median and landed top down in the westbound lanes a third of a mile west of the west Twain Harte exit. East and westbound traffic was halted for a short period of time.

The initial report indicates the driver was the only fatality of the four individuals in the vehicle.

C.H.P. Investigating Officer Tim Green stated that the vehicle was apparently traveling at a speed unsafe for the road conditions. The F-150 had chains on board but they were not installed.
