Update: Vegetation Fire Contained
Update at 3 p.m.: CAL Fire reports the Brandt Fire has been contained at about 15 acres. Investigators are on site working to investigate a cause.
Update at 1:50 p.m.: Fire crews are getting a handle on what was originality called the “Clements Fire” and has now been titled the “Brandt Fire” by CAL Fire. It is burning near Brandt and North Clements roads is in the Clements area, west of Jenny Lind. CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports is 15 acres in size and the forward rate of spread has been stopped. No structures were threatened and what sparked the blaze is under investigation. Crews will work to fully contain the fire and mop up for the next couple of hours.
Update at 1:45 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that the “Clements Fire” is 10 acres in size and burning at a moderate rate of spread. There are no structures threatened at this time.
