Applegate Presents State Of The City Address To Sonora City Council

Sonora, CA — City Administrator Greg Applegate presented his State of the City address to the City Council Tuesday evening.
Applegate summarized his statements by saying that, “2008 could be characterized as a year where we saw the economic recession take hold. We saw the continuing housing correction in place along with a slowdown in the overall economy. We saw job losses and large federal and state deficits.”
Applegate added, “Despite all these economic conditions I think our city right at this juncture is able to still maintain our basic level of services. We´re just barely keeping our head above water.”
