Burglaries In Angels Camp Likely Related To Hotel Robbery
Angels Camp, CA — Angels Camp Police Chief Dale Mendenhall says that two residential break-ins that occurred on Monday within the city limits are likely related to the robbery at the Murphys Hotel on Tuesday.
“The investigation is still continuing, so there is not a lot of information that we can release at this point,” says Mendenhall. “We don´t want to compromise the investigation.”
The break-ins on Monday occurred in the 1300 block of Finnegan Ln. and the 1600 block of Vallecito Rd. Items taken included gold chains, coins, a handgun and a digital camera.
Early Tuesday morning at the Murphys Hotel, a masked gunman entered and forced a janitor on duty into the kitchen where his hands were duct taped behind his back and a towel placed over his head. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
Arrested in connection the Murphys robbery were 23 year old Jose Quinero of Arnold, 24 year old Erika Aguilar of Angels Camp and 25 year old Jesus Alvarez of Arnold.
