Columbia Exhibit Will Showcase Rare Animal Specimens
Columbia, CA — An exhibit showcasing rare animal specimens from North America, South America and Africa will be on display beginning February 2nd in the Columbia College Manzanita Rotunda.
Sponsored as part of the college´s 40th anniversary celebration, “It´s a Jungle Out There,” is an educational exhibit featuring a number of whole mount taxidermy specimens like an African Lion, Roan Antelope, Grants Gazelle, oribi, hyena, leopard, mountain lion and jaguar. That´s just to name a few. There will also be live animal and aquatic displays available for viewing.
“For a month or so, the Manzanita Rotunda will be transformed into a real museum,” says Doralyn Foletti, event coordinator. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students and a great chance for them to see some animal specimens from other parts of the world.”
The exhibit will be set up through March 13th.
