Safety Grant Helps Teach Teens About Winter Driving

Sonora, CA — Thanks to a grant from the State Office of Traffic Safety, the CHP and Friday Night Live of Tuolumne County are organizing a winter driving safety course for teenagers and their parents.

Officer Tom Wills says speakers will talk about installation of tire chains, replacing a flat tire, checking lights and other challenges that young drivers could experience.

The course will be offered at the Willow Springs Park on Willow Springs Rd. on January 24th at both 9am and 12:30pm.

It is designed to be hands on and will inform parents and teens about the dangerous effects winter weather can have on their vehicle and driving. For more information or to sign up contact Friday Night Live at (209) 223-1485.
