Update: Vegetation Fire In Calaveras County
Update at 3:50 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that a grass fire behind the Mobile Gas Station, located at 326 E St Charles Street/Highway 49, between Angels Road and Treat Avenue, near an apartment building has been extinguished. It was contained at an acre and a half. Kilgore details that there were no evacuations or injuries and all incoming resources including aircraft have been called off the scene. Several crews will remain on scene mopping up for the next hour. Kilgore says that a cause has not yet been determined and is under investigation.

Update at 3:30 p.m.: Although resources are continuing to the scene CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore relays that crews are getting a handle on the blaze that broke out in some grass behind the Mobile Gas Station, located at 326 E St Charles Street/Highway 49, between Angels Road and Treat Avenue, near an apartment building.
Original post at 2:50 p.m.: San Andreas, CA — Firefighters and Columbia aircraft are battling a vegetation fire in Calaveras County.
Grass on a hill behind the Mobile Gas Station, located at 326 E St Charles Street/Highway 49, between Angels Road and Treat Avenue, near an apartment building is ablaze. CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore tells Clarke Broadcasting that the fire is one to two acres in size and moving at a slow rate of spread. She adds that no evacuations are ordered at this time and asks the public to stay out of the area so firefighters can work the fire.
