Mother Lode C.H.P. Reports Five D.U.I. Arrests Over New Years Weekend

Jamestown-San Andreas, CA — Five motorists were arrested for driving-under-the-influence in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties respectively over the New Years weekend.
Officer Tom Wills reports the CHP made three Tuolumne County arrests as compared to only one during the Christmas Maximum Enforcement Period.
In Calaveras County Officer Jaime Castillo adds that while there were six DUI arrests during the Christmas M.E.P., there were only two such arrests over this past weekend.
Both officers report not a single alcohol related fatality for the 2009 New Years.
