Winter Storm Watch Issued

Sacramento, CA — Snowfall is headed toward the region, as the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for late tonight through Friday evening for the Sierra.

Snow levels will initially be around 7,000 ft. early Friday, and then lower to 4,500 ft by Friday night. Snowfall accumulations of eight to 12 inches are possible above 6,000 ft. Strong gusty winds are also expected.
