SUV Rolls 50 Ft. Down Embankment
Cold Springs, CA – A family that was heading up the hill to ski this morning had an unfortunate change of plans.
The CHP reports that an SUV slid off Highway 108 and rolled approximately 50 ft. down an embankment near Cold Springs. The accident occurred shortly before 9am, and no one was injured. Officer Mike Remmell says the driver of the vehicle was 44-year-old Nelson Lam of Fremont, California. The other passengers were Lam’s wife and two children.
After sliding on the patch of ice, Lam’s 2009 Lexus hit a snow bank and rolled down the side of the road.
