Emergency Relief For Tuolumne County Taxpayers

Sacramento, CA– Emergency relief is now available for taxpayers in Tuolumne County due to the winter storms in November.  A State of Emergency was declared in the county yesterday.


Barbara Alby, Acting Member of the State Board of Equalization (BOE) today announced that extensions for audits, filing, billing notices, assessments and relief from subsequent penalties are available for those individuals and businesses impacted by severe weather in the county last month.


Emergency relief for taxpayers and fee payers may include extensions for filing returns or to make payments, relief of interest penalties, and expediting copies of Board of Equalization tax records. Any tax payer who as a result of the storms, cannot meet tax filing and payment deadlines may apply.


The BOE may also extend these relief provisions to include delays caused by disruption of the normal activities of the U.S Postal Service or other private mail and freight companies.
