Sierra Winter Storm Passes

The National Weather Service had issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada on Sunday night.

Locally heavy rain, thunderstorms, small hail and wind gusts caused minor flooding in some regional areas.

The snow level ranged from 5000 to 5500 feet. Three to six inches of snow accumulation was expected to have fallen above 5000 feet. A total of ten to fifteen inches of snow was expected above 7000 feet. Up to two feet of snow was possible above 9000 feet.


All precipitation tapered off by early Monday morning.
