Sonora, CA – More PG&E customers are without power as a result of the winter storm that is passing through the region this afternoon.

8,550 PG&E customers are without power in Tuolumne County and around 4,000 are without power in Calaveras County. 3,970 are without power in the Arnold area, 3,290 in the Twain Harte region, 2,915 in East Sonora (Phoenix Lake and Cedar Ridge), 1,655 in Mi Wuk Village, 675 in Long Barn, 105 in Murphys and 80 in West Point.

Because the outages are so widespread, there is not an estimated restoration time. To report an outage or receive information on a specific neighborhood, you can call 1-800-PGE-5000.

A reminder that the Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services has opened up a warming station at the Twain Harte Community Services District Fire Station at 18781 Cedar Road. The Mother Lode Chapter of the American Red Cross is providing assistance. Residents will be allowed to stay until the power is restored. Residents in Sonora can seek shelter at the Senior Center on Greenley Road (next to the library) until 4pm today.

The Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada is set to expire at 6pm.
