Power Outages Remain Problem

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Power outages remain a major problem across the Mother Lode this morning.

Around 10,000 customers are without power in Tuolumne County and another 7,500 in the Calaveras County region. Some of the more widespread outages are in Twain Harte, Mi Wuk Village, Confidence, Arnold, West Point and Hathaway Pines.

“We have crews mobilized from out of the area to come in and restore power as quickly as possible,” says Jana Morris, PG&E spokesperson. “We will be working around the clock until we get all of the customers restored.”

PG&E reports that some customers could be without power for the next couple of days because of access issues. Because the outages are so widespread, PG&E currently doesn’t have specifics on when the individual outages will be restored. Customers that would like to report an outage or receive information on a specific neighborhood can call 1-800-PGE-5000.
