Sonora Elementary Measure H Passes
All of the provisional ballots have been counted in Tuolumne County from the November 2nd General Election.
Measure H, the Sonora Elementary Bond measure has passed. Measure H received 55.16 percent of the vote. It needed 55 percent in order to pass. The results are expected to be certified soon.
Sonora Elementary School District Superintendent Margie Bulkin was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Measure H will make health and safety improvements; increase student access to computers and modern technology; replace/upgrade inadequate electrical, fire alarm, and plumbing systems; modernize classrooms, restrooms, and school facilities including the library.
Bulkin said that she will wait for the results to be certified before the school moves forward.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
