Prayers For Megan

Sonora, CA– Former Sonora resident, Megan Boyack Smith touched the lives of hundreds of people. Never was that more evident than in the recent outpouring of support the 27 year old received from the on-line community.

Smith passed away from a stroke Monday morning in Buffalo, New York. She had been undergoing treatment for leukemia that was diagnosed in July after the birth of her first child. Smith’s husband, Ryan Smith documented his wife’s cancer battle on a Facebook page entitled, “Prayers for Megan” that had received over 3,700 friends.

Hundreds also showed support and expressed condolences on www.prayersformegan.com.

Smith’s parents are current Sonora residents Doug and Pam Boyack. Doug Boyack is a Tuolumne County Superior Court judge.
