Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — Republican candidate for Senate Carly Fiorina has checked into a hospital because of an infection related to reconstructive surgery that she had after beating breast cancer.

According the Associated Press, two of Fiorina’s campaign events scheduled for today in Southern California have been cancelled. The campaign’s Chief of Staff, Deborah Bowker stated that Fiorina was admitted to a hospital and is being treated with antibiotics. The campaign will not say when or where she was admitted.

Fiorina, 56, is challenging Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer. Fiorina’s campaign does not expect the candidate to be in the hospital for a long period.
