Update: Structure And Vegetation Fire In Jamestown
Update at 1:45 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that the RV, brush and garbage pile fire in Jamestown has been contained. She notes that the fire started inside the trailer and then the flames spread to a 50 by 50 spot of brush and then to a large garbage pile nearby. What sparked the blaze in the 19800 block of Golden Dove Lane, near Silver Pine Lane, in Jamestown is under investigation. Further details on the fire are below.
Update at 1:15 p.m.: CAL Fire is reporting a new address for the house and vegetation fire. It is on Golden Dove Lane in Jamestown. CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that it is actually an RV that was fully engulfed in flames, which spread to nearby brush and a garbage pile. She adds that no one was in the trailer and that crews are making good progress on all aspects of the fire.
Toulumne County Sheriff’s officials are also on the scene and relay there are no evacuations needed at this time. Use caution traveling in the area as deputies are conducting traffic control.
Original post at 12:48 p.m.: Sonora, CA — Air and ground resources are battling a house fire and the flames have spread to nearby vegetation. CAL Fire reports the blaze is in the vicinity of Stockton Road near Highway 108.
CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore relays it is a confirmed structure fire that burned into the vegetation and crews are working on a 50 by 50 brush fire. We will bring you more details as soon as more information comes into the newsroom.
