Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors will decide whether to approve no interest loans to a pair of local agencies until a state budget is approved.

County documents show that the Supervisors will vote today on whether approve a loan up to $17,000 for the first month to the Area 12 Agency on Aging and then up to $55,000 for each additional month. They will also vote whether to approve a loan of $50,000 to Mother Lode Job Training. State leaders say that a budget vote could happen as early as this week. (Tuolumne County Supervisors will vote on a similar loan for the Area 12 Agency on Aging)

The Calaveras Supervisors will go into closed session today to discuss litigation related to the Trinitas Golf project. They also are expected to approve a grant award of $1.25 million from the U.S. Department of Justice to purchase and install public safety communications equipment and microwave infrastructure. Today’s meeting begins at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
